This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected through our website(s) (e.g., https://numarics.com), web and mobile applications (hereinafter collectively referred to as the Apps), and/or any related services, sales, marketing, or events (hereinafter collectively referred to as the Services).

1. What information do we collect - personal data you give us

In short, we collect personal data that you provide to us. We only collect information that is required to provide the agreed-upon services.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register with the Services or Apps, expressing an interest in receiving information about us or our products and services, participate in activities on the Services or Apps, or otherwise contact us.
The personal data we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services or Apps, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal data we collect may include the following:

Personal master data. We collect all necessary names (e.g. first names, maiden names, surnames), ID/passport numbers, nationality, gender, telephone numbers, email addresses, and, where necessary, government licenses, professional registrations, national insurance numbers, business registrations, company affiliations and business partners, current and previous addresses and other similar data.

Financial and personal information about previous customers. We collect financial information (bank account number or IBAN, BIC number, invoices); and other data necessary to fulfill the agreed services.

Login details. We can offer you the option to register with Google, Apple, Microsoft or email account details.

Call recording. We collect personal data that you provide when you talk to us on the phone. Whenever we record calls, we will ask for your consent before doing so. If you request that your call not be recorded, we will comply with this request. In such a case, we will (only) record the conversation manually using written notation. However, we also reserve the right to terminate a conversation and/or to request in writing the information that was or should be given on the phone. When a conversation is recorded (audio recording or manually), in addition to the actual voice content, we also process personal data generated from the telephone system or provided by the telephone company (e.g. telephone numbers, time of the start of the conversation and duration).

2. What data we collect - automatically collected information

In short, some information - such as IP address and/or browser and device characteristics - is automatically collected when you visit our services or apps. We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services or Apps. This information does not (or cannot directly) reveal your specific identity (such as your name or contact information), but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language settings, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services or Apps, and other technical information. This information is primarily required to maintain the security and operation of our services or apps, as well as for our internal analysis and reporting purposes. Information collected via our apps In short, we may collect information about your geolocation, mobile device and push notifications when you use our apps. When you use our apps, we may also collect the following information:

Geolocation Information. We may request access or permission to location-based information from your mobile device and track it, either continuously or while you are using our mobile app to provide location-based services. If you wish to change your access or permissions, you can do so in the settings of your device.

Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device camera, contacts and other features. If you want to change your access or permissions, you can do so in the settings of your device.

Mobile device data. We may automatically collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer), operating system, version information and IP address.
Push notifications. We may ask you to send push notifications regarding your account or the mobile app. If you do not want to receive these types of notifications, you can disable them in the settings of your device.

3. How do we use your information?

In short, we process your data only and without exception for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the performance of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations and/or your consent. We use personal data collected through our Services or Apps for a variety of business purposes as described below. We process your data for these purposes in order to enter into or perform a contract with you with your consent and/or to comply with our legal obligations.

To facilitate the account creation and login process. If you choose to link your account with us to a third-party account (e.g. your Google, Apple or Microsoft account), we will use the information you have allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate the account creation and sign-up process for the performance of the contract.

To send you administrative information. We may use your data to send you information about products, services and new features and/or information about changes to our terms and policies.

Fulfilling and managing your orders. We may use your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, etc. made through the Services or Apps. To enforce our terms and conditions and policies for business, legal and contractual purposes. To manage user accounts. We may use your information to manage our account and keep it functioning.

To provide services to the user. We may use your information to provide you with the requested service.

Respond to user queries/provide support to users. We may use your information to respond to your inquiries and to resolve any potential issues you may have when using our services.

Account information: You can check or change the information in your account or cancel your account at any time: Log in to your account settings and update your account. Upon your request to cancel your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist in any investigations, enforce our Terms of Service, our Numarics Mobile/Web App Terms of Use and other agreed terms or understandings, and/or to comply with legal requirements.

Unsubscribing from email marketing: You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails we send you or by contacting us using the details below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list - but we must continue to send you service-related emails that are necessary to manage and use your account. To unsubscribe otherwise, you can: Access your account settings and update the settings.

10. Data protection breaches

A data breach occurs when there is unauthorized access to or collection, use, disclosure or disposal of personal information. You will be notified (to the extent required by applicable law) of data breaches if Numarics AG believes that you are likely to be at risk or seriously harmed. For example, a data breach is likely to result in serious financial harm or harm to your mental or physical well-being. If Numarics AG becomes aware of a security breach that has resulted or may result in unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personal data, Numarics AG will promptly investigate the matter and (to the extent required by applicable law) notify the appropriate supervisory authority within a reasonable period of time.

11. Controls for the "Do-not-Track" functions

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (hereafter DNT) feature or setting that you can activate to signal that you do not want data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. A uniform technology standard for the detection and implementation of DNT signals has not yet been finalized. Therefore, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or other mechanisms that automatically communicate your decision not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will notify you of that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

In short, yes, we can update this policy if necessary to remain compliant with relevant legislation.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be identified by an update date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
